checking this flop behind is very bad imo against this type of player. He will often sense weakness(correctly), and barrel the turn+river.

I bet the flop a bit more, something like 34.

As played, I really think you should fold. If you call you could still have some tough discissions on the turn and or river.

This is a really poor flop to c-bet here with QQ. Villain probably knows you don't 3bet too many aces OOP and most of the hands you do will hate this board. Villain is aggro, and if he's good he'll make it really hard for you to play this hand well.

I think check-calling the flop here with the intent of check-calling flop and maybe turn/river (depending on the specific villain). I would also do this with AQ/AJ too if I think villain is going to try to push me off KK-TT on this board.

oh yeah sorry I see you are oop. Bet-fold pretty standard I think.
I mean, if you check, he bets 40, you call?C/F turn?, C/F river?C/C river?:S

Against more w/t players I can see a check oop here, but not against this guy, hell, this is the guy I love to check my AK to here.

I'm more a fan of betting flop semi-weak (as played) and then checking turn.

Check the flop. And balance it by checking your AQ hands and betting your AK hands.

cf...when you call the flop, you signal that you have an ace.
