Re: *** Official WCOOP 2008 Suggestions***
The 109 turbo rebuy sats to the main event are starting with 1500 chips, which is great, but in order to rebuy you need 1000 or less, and you only get 1000 chips when you rebuy.
This is dumb. 1 - It is impossible to start with a doublestack. 2 - Rebuys have less value than the initial buyin. Both of these things discourage rebuys; this is a bad thing in a rebuy tournament. Please never do this again. (None of the other rebuy sats were like this). |

-1 turbo. A lot of players play strictly turbo sit and gos, etc. PokerStars has every other game, should have a Turbo. [/ QUOTE ] As long as their thinking doesn't go like this: Since it's the WCOOP. it should be a deep-stacked turbo. 10000 starting chips, 15 minute levels, and a $1,000,000 guarantee for a $200+15 buy-in. |

Re: *** Official WCOOP 2008 Suggestions***
Don't think this has been mentioned - the shootout and heads up tournaments should not wait for everyone to finish a particular round. If both (or all for shootout) players for the next round are ready the table should start immediately. It would reduce waiting time and the total time for the tournament.

[/ QUOTE ] Some problems with this: - it won't shorten the tourney up by as much as you think. - it will tend to make the matches spread out (many people will be finished round 3 before some have finished round 1) - some players will face even longer wait times (imagine if you finish round 3 early but some people in your bracket are still playing round 1) - you won't be able to predict when your next match will start (it could be in 1 minute, or 4 hours) The last one is the worst one. |

[/ QUOTE ] Another two problems: 1) the brackets are not pre-determined, they are random. doing this will eliminate the randomness. (I may be wrong about this - anybody from stars can tell us?) 2) Assuming the brackets are not pre-determined, and you'd simply be matched up and go-go-go with anybody available, the last two tables, who presumably have the slowest players, will then be matched up against each other, creating an uber-slow table...
