Re: Big Pot line check
[ QUOTE ]
Isn't sb nemesis 31/13/3.5 ? precisely why I want to iso to get the friggin villain out who according to Bona can get away from a bad hand. I think calling 2 preflop is something he doesn't like doing. [/ QUOTE ] Oh n1! |

Re: Big Pot line check
[ QUOTE ]
I definitely want iso potential against sb here. I 3 bet preflop. Changes everything. [/ QUOTE ] I doubt that you can successfully isolate sb here. At least one of the limpers is coming along, with a good chance both call. Fwiw, if I thought it would work, I'd be 3betting here, too. |

Re: Big Pot line check
I doubt it too, but playing it passively in this situation is more likely to reduce the size of the pot if I hit my set and also mean that I have to fold on the flop to a miss.
I prefer having some room postflop by 3 betting against these opponents. If it doesn't iso I don't mind. Having a read on the opponents makes all the difference here. I get a lot more information to work with by 3 betting than I do calling. Raising for information is not correct but a failed isolation raise is not a bad thing when you get information from it's failure. |
