QJs TPGK plus flush draw, 2barreled by villain, your plan?
Villain is 22/15 over 50 hands, we had tangled a couple of times and I beat him but while he's not passive he hasn't been out of line. UTG is a loose donk and UTG+1 is super tight and folds to any bet on missed flop... keep that in mind when considering villain's flop lead bet.
SB $280 Hero $490 Dealt to Hero [Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] UTG raises to $8, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls, BU folds, SB calls, BB folds. FLOP ($36) [Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] SB bets $26, UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to $52, SB calls. TURN ($140) [Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]][4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] SB bets $120, Hero What would you do here? I don't usually minraise the flop but here I felt that I could add some value without giving hand strength away. I'm not looking for comments on the flop play, but given villain's turn lead again, what would you put him on? What's your plan now on the turn and if not folding, on the river? |

What are you doing on the flop?

Flop minraise is gross. Just make a real raise and call a shove. Turn is close, but given his stack size I'm going to assume he's not that good annd I'd probably just shove it in.

Re: QJs TPGK plus flush draw, 2barreled by villain, your plan?
I said not looking for comments on flop play because I had victimized this villain a couple of hands in a row and he then started folding to my normal-sized reraises. With a strong hand here and position I wanted to add value while keeping him in the hand. Anything more than a minraise and he'd probably fold.
Hence why I'm looking for TURN and river comments, thanks. |

there should not be an river decision making here, turn is push/fold, and I'm leaning towards pushing since I don't think he'd play a huge hand like this.

Can you really fold this turn? I know I couldn't. Calling is probably no different to shoving because if I call this turn I will have to call the river, so I shoved turn.
Villain actually had (in white) 7h 8c, I totally did not see that coming, just wanted to know if anyone could have. |

Don't min raise, it's terrible, regardless of whether or not previous history indicates he folds to flop aggression. Make a real raise. The hand you lost to is great evidence of this, you charged said hand next to nothing to see a turn. I guess shoving turn as played is fine if you have no intention of folding the river.

Just calling the flop is ok as well. Minraising is just awful. Im going broke on the turn always.
