Stupid controversy about the goalkeeping fact is Brazil just outplayed the US.

i don't know about this, nor do i know enough about soccer to see what you are talking about from the video.

please explain?

Did you see the shot of the blonde on the sideline? That was the younger US goalkeeper, who didn't give up a goal for the previous 300 minutes, but was pulled out for this game. She blasted the coach and goalkeeper for this decision (reasonable) and for missing those saves (as a goalkeeper, I'd say this was neither cool nor reasonable). USA Today story on aftermath

Wow how does that first player she fakes out with that reverse pass to herself give up on the play? If she hustled and sprinted instead of giving up and slowing down she might've caught her on the second fake.

No it was someone else who came close to catching her on the second fake. Hard to see from the video.

#8, the player Marta first jukes with the sick back heel move, turns to chase her then sort of slows down and watches. When Marta jukes the second US player, she (Marta) cuts back right in front of #8 before taking the shot.

Hard to know for sure from the video but it seems like #8 gave up on the play. Before Marta juked the second player, I think #8 should have been closing in on Marta's right side.

I agree with you about Solo's comments- I think she said something like "I have no doubt that I would have made those saves." What a slap at Scurry, who as far as I know had nothing to do with the coaching decision and was put in a terrible spot since she hadn't played for so long and knew the team had confidence in Solo.

Awesome goal. We still need to find Hermano, though.
