I always thought cat's were awesome, but sadly I'm allergic, I'd probably have both cats and dogs in my house, but for now only my dog Barney keeps me company.

Pet's seem at times, can get a closer bond than your friends, sad to hear the news man.

The Movie "Vanilla Sky" with Tom Cruise has some great scenes that relate to this topic.

why don't you wait for some sort of veterinary diagnoses before relying on your wife's cancer smelling receptors.

ps. It sounds like your cat is sick regardless, that's sad, but you know.

I didn't read most of the replies. But hopefully they are not sarcastic.
My feelings go out to you.
I lost two cats in a 1 yr span and still think of them a lot.Even my wife, who hated them, said she missed them.

After a wife and two kids, I have come to realize that they, and our dog, are/were not just pets. But are part of the family.
Best I can say.

Remeber the fun times and always cherish what you have/had.
Like many say. Time heals all wounds. But I'll never forget mine. Hopefully you wont either.
