Don't know, just wondering. Got my new toy today, and I'm about to visit my folks in a few weeks, and the thought just came to mind.

I'm pretty sure they give you [censored] if they search you and find a bunch of $2 DVD's. These days a laptop, external HD or ipod seems the more efficient way to do this, so why wouldn't they? Only been searched twice and it was pretty thorough, but I didn't have any of the aforementioned on me at the time.

Or do they only care about import taxes vs. copyright infringement?

I dropped mine the other week and it broke. I had 500GB worth of movies and music gone. It cost 400 and sea gate wants 2k to recover data. woe is me.

They won't care/won't be able to figure out how to see what's on it. Long as it's not ticking or stuffed with drugs, you will have no problems.

If you really care, encrypt your external HD. Problem solved.
