Edit: By the way you wrote the subject line I'm assuming it wasn't still good, meaning it was good on the flop.

Well, just finished a long session + it's 4 AM. In retrospect the title doesn't make sense at all. You can ignore it :P

I agree with your reasoning

There are not that many combos we are behind here.

JJ 1 combo
88 1 combo
A8 6 combos
55 3 combos

I think an overpair should be reraising the flop bet with the spades out there.

I agree 100%. The pair on board might be a slight scare, but I think it's still important to make a pot sized bet here to make sure nothing gets there for free.

I let it go. 76 hands is enough to have a half-ass read, and his AF is low enough that I can't see him bluffing here. Good turn bet.

I thought for a while and.........called. He showed ATo and was drawing dead.
