I think he's being a clown with AK/KQ, or a SUPERclown with like AA. actually nah, anyone who superclowns AA that much is capping the turn.

I would bet the flop, but wouldn't if we had a regular T9 or just a flush draw. I'd definitely take a free card on the turn. 3-bet on turn is spew. wtf do you put him on, QJ? River check is good.

Not sure what to put him on but he doesn't have to fold very often here and he doesn't have to have that much does he?

Did you miss the whole 3-bet out of the SB check flop, check/raise turn?

[/ QUOTE ]

exactly. this is not the time to 3bet the turn as a semibluff. this play is much more effective when it looks lime someone is trying to power through a hand. his flop smooth call does not suggest that at all.

Hand reading 101: Villian's flop check after 3betting preflop says he's showing down. He may have a monster like AA/KK or some flopped set, or he may have a marginal hand like Ace high, but either way he is showing down. That is why betting the turn is a mistake. Given the dynamics at play here, your turn 3bet is just plain spewage.

yeah, I was actually debating if you should bet the river actually cause the line is so suspect...

how sweet would it feel to own him like that?

Silly but tempting.

I was still labouring under the delusion that he might fold a worse hand so sense prevailed.
