Re: NFD backs into second nut straight facing heat.
These are the huge mistakes i've been making, and why I'm trying to improve. I use to fold this, it turns out that I called and he had like 2345 with a couple spades drawing completely dead.
Anyway, this hand is completely standard? |

Re: NFD backs into second nut straight facing heat.
I think with the redraw I can't find a fold here. At this level of play is that always the nut straight he's got or is it a set?

Re: NFD backs into second nut straight facing heat.
here it is really about the player. some will play like this with the nut straight, knowing that they want you off the draw, while other will simply put you on a flush draw and bet like this with a set.
if you know the player to be tight aggressive good thinking player, than maybe lay it down, but i wouldnt be putting this down on the turn. |

Yo Wooly, post that QJ8 huge 300 bb pot we played where I tanked for a while and you asked if I had T9 with no redraw.

Re: NFD backs into second nut straight facing heat.
This is perfectly fine, he's going to be doing this with top or middle set more often then he will with a hand involving 97, and we have a nut redraw.
