Raise the turn? WA/WB?
Villian seemed solid, wasn't making that many moves. I had a tight image at the table, played very few hands.

Re: Raise the turn? WA/WB?
On this particular board, I don't think WA/WB applies. It's twoflush with a straight draw, and if he hits any overcard he has a better two pair. Someone call the WA/WB Police
Anyway, given your stack, I think a calldown is best here (on the turn and river). It looks like your only other option would be to push the turn, and I don't really like it. Maybe thats a bit passive... We'll see what others have to say FWIW, if you had more chips, I would really like a turn raise. |

Re: Raise the turn? WA/WB?
Slight newbie question, but is an 8 really putting in a pot sized bet on the flop? I generally don't play many higher buy in tourneys, and I don't know what the buy in was here, but to me this bet seems like a T or an A high...on the flop anyways. On the turn/river I'm kinda lost, maybe he hit a Q? I'm here to learn too...sorry if I hijacked the thread. I agree with mlagoo though, I don't think WA/WB applies.

Re: Raise the turn? WA/WB?
Yeah I could be way off on this. My thinking was that he completed from the SB so I wasn't all that concerned with two over cards. If he has an 8 I'm screwed but not much else he could have that I really feared.
I guess I'm trying to put him on a range of cards that might make this play. Maybe a turn raise is a good play here? |

Re: Raise the turn? WA/WB?
My initial though was to raise the turn, although now I'm not so sure. Seems like the only hands where this really helps you is if he has JT or T9 you make him pay for his straight draw.
