I guarantee you that Chris Ferguson has figured out how to play turbo SNG's and will be +EV in this tournament.

Hellmuth, on the other hand, will likely make a lot of Great Laydowns on his way to Feltville.

Lederer's point is interesting, but there is so little postflop play that I think it doesn't quite hold up for this structure.

When I think poker superstar one name comes to mind: Jennifer Tilly. I'm really glad they put the best players in the world together for this one. I can't wait for next season when Ben afleck goes up against James Woods in the end all competition of poker greatness. I wonder if the real poker greats are insulted by this. I long for the days when the tournament field was composed only of the top players in the world. It will be fun to see how long it takes before it turns into another version of celebrity poker though.

So in essence, we're going to get 20+ weeks of reruns before the finals are even shown next February!! Thats just insane. I mean, really...20 weeks between semis and finals airing?

Are you sure you're not mixing up the tournament final and the full-table SNG that shows on Super Bowl Sunday? They're two different things.

They didn't say "best players in the world" in the first place. They said "Poker Superstars." I suspect the people you wish were there aren't the best players either.

FWIW, I think she's played extremely well the few times I've seen her on TV. Better than a number of the tournament poker celebs.

The main things that stand out in my mind regarding episode 1 were the weird thing on Antonio's lip and Jennifer Tilly's amazing rack.

Speaking of racks, I was surprised by the rack Cyndy Violette was sporting under a tight shirt. She seemed very MILFish, despite being overshadowed by Tilly.

Possible enhancement for Violette?

First off, Kenny Banya is a hilarious name. I didnt watch it tonight, but Im sure theyll replay it 18 times. The structure is a joke. Im sure they all have the money, but 50k for a dice rolling competition, yikes. I hate how any celebs who play get respect, and some [censored] always has to say, "dont overlook this douche, hes not only a great actor, but a deceptively solid poker player as well." id be like, "o look another rich arrogant donkey bandwagon jumper who thinks he can do anything." and it hurts me that tilly may make it deep in this tourney because a monkey that went all in pf with any pair or ace would have a decent shot at winning this tourney. good thing they dumped konik. shame huck seed isnt playing. woulda been hilarious if he were color commentating. i cant wait for the finals to air in late 2009 or whenever itll be. i hope they still have the seventies porn music as the intro. peace outside.
