This is the guys first hand at the table, so no reads. Mainly looking for how you would play turn and river.

1 fold, MP checks, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero raises to $1.25, MP calls $0.75, SB folds.

Flop: ($2.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $1.25, MP calls $1.25.

Turn: ($5) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn is good but I would just fold river ... w/o any reads I dont see how you can call

67 is the only hand i see him having that wouldn't beat you

Make it $4 on the turn. You have to protect your hand!

You did bet less than half the pot so he gets 3:1 and calls everything without making a huge mistake.

As played i like a blockbet on the river $4-$6 and fold to a push.

Make it at least 2 dollars on the flop. You have a great hand. Get money in that pot on the flop.

Fold river. You'd basically be praying for 76 if you called.

Turn is ok. I could see a check here too though (+ call a bet.)

I'd probably have bet more on the flop too but 1/2 pot on a dry board is fine if that's your style. Except since it's the first hand he's played with you I'd be tempted to just go for value.

Your bet sizing is way off... both on the flop and on the turn.

Agreed. Say you were holding AK or something, you wouldn't cbet that little on the flop. Make it at least $2. Ditto turn.

fold is standard here I would bet more on flop and turn but the board is pretty dry so I dont have a problem with not betting the pot.
unless you have a read that villan is a bluff money this is a fold.

Yeah I think my betting sizing was a big mistake in this hand. I cried and called and he had AK off which blew my mind, but if I had reads that they player was solid I think it's a fold.
