how do i make my VLC play in slow motion?

just use the "play slower button" to the left of the play button

You can play it 1x 1.5x 2x 2.5x etc slower or faster with the arrows surrounding the play button.

also, the minus key on the keypad makes stuff go slower.

the plus key on the keypad makes stuff go faster.

uh, i use VLC to watch all sorts of video. I record live tv, and then use the keypad to run past the advertisements.
