Default 50 NL Push combo draw on turn?

My friend argues that I shouldn't push on the turn since I have no fold equity and that I am only ahead of a pair... let me know what u guys think:

SB bets $2, Hero raises to $6, Button folds, SB calls $4.

Turn: ($13.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

this looks very well played. there is no need to wait on this one as you have enough equity against any 2 cards to put sb all in.

I play it the exact same way. You do have fold equity here and a monster draw which gives you plenty of outs if you do get called by a better hand

I think both a push and a call have arguments here---- with a call being lower variance---- I would argue for a call only because you have position on the river---- I prefer a turn push when your oop on the river

Well the reason my Fold Equity isn't so great is that he BET into me on the turn. This means he hit something on the turn that he doesn't want to let go.

Assuming my FE = 0, is this still +EV to push here?

it depends entirely on villain and what his calling ranges are-------- its obviously a high variance play and I think if he calls your probably very behind--- its just a matter of how much and if he will call with draws here as well---- your equity on turn is much lower with combo draws---- but this is so complicated because you have a pair now

Its probably marginal ev either way----- I probably shove turn too

But FE is about getting people to fold better hands. When you have TPTK on the flop and someone checkraises you all in, and you don't know if they are diong it with a set, 2 pr, overpair, or a combo draw, it puts you in a tough spot. If you didn't hit something, then the decision is easy fold. FE comes into play because you have hit something and you like your hand a lot, and may still lay it down even when you are ahead.

i think I prefer a call. Only better hands call and all worse hands fold etc :P

The only real arguement for shoving the turn is that if a club comes he'll cf. But I'm not sure that holds much water.

i like calling, too, because we may well have improved to the best hand on the turn anyway.
