well, to me, it's 888, 222, a flush draw, KJ, K10, maybe K9. K8, I like to think, doesn't do this? Against that range, with 900 in the pot already, I think shoving is fine, because KJ and K10 call thinking I'm on a flush or that I think he's on a flush or some [censored]. which is why I feel I'm being a little results orientated, but just wanted to check.

imo, a big part of his range is Kx, and we don't want to let him get away if an A or spade comes. Better to charge him now.

I need to learn how to call these min raises, but I'm not sure if with KQ against his range if that's the appropriate move.

K8 does that. I don't know the math, but I'd guess that he'd need to be doing that donk raise with air pretty frequently (25% maybe) for this to be a good shove. I had been making this push alot recently and they keep showing me K8 or a set. Once I see that villian uses this move frequently, I'll add Kx and the flush draw to his range.
I tend to play more carefully in limped pots.

I think raising this would have been a good play preflop, if we say the guys limping range is 22-66, KJ, QJ, JT, A2-A9, then I think we have quite a bit of FE plus we a very large percentage of the time win it preflop or get it down to heads up. As played, however, I think he is probably stacking of TP/weaker kicker, maybe something like A8 with the A of spades, or even just a flush draw with a Q or J or both as on overcard. I think this is a good push.

actually if he as a set/2pair a minraise is perfect to induce a shove from a hand like AK/AQ/AJ/KQ with your stack size and the now somewhat bloated pot. However I doubt he does know this and I still shove regardless.

I'm kinda grunching this, so does anyone favor raising pre-flop? I don't think we have much fe here anyway, but I hate playing OOP multiway, especially on that board.

I think the raise pre-flop with KQ would be a good idea.

1. You win the pot sometimes now.
2. None of the limpers have shown strength, so the chance you are up against AK/AQ is pretty slim.
3. Blinds are low enough that you don't need to be getting all crazy trying to win the pot on the flop if you miss, so you can make a judgement call as to whether to c-bet or not without risking your whole stack.
4. This is a nice spot for KQ, if hit top pair, you are useually good, seeing the action pre-flop.
