He was 19/4/2 or so. The turn bet suprised me a little. Does this look like a big pair, set, FD?? What's your plan here keeping in mind we started about 200bbs deep? |

Re: Bottom set facing aggression 400NL
I think I call and reevaluate the river. Hes probably the type that can get away from QQ+ here if we shove.
88 isnt that likely here because of his stats so I think call turn, probably get it in on a safe river. (Keep in mind I dont play this high so my advice might be useless) Happy Birthday btw |

Re: Bottom set facing aggression 400NL
Since you're so deep, I guess I call the turn and value bet the river.

Re: Bottom set facing aggression 400NL
The thing that bothers me is how passive the guy had been. If he has AA wouldn't he just 3 bet the flop?
Then when he bet the turn I really felt like I was behind but couldn't find a fold. Anyway, here's how it played out. I actually time banked before calling river I was so confident I was behind, but I'm not good enough to fold a set on this board. Re: Bottom set facing aggression 400NL
I think you played this well, though the raise on the flop is too small.

Re: Bottom set facing aggression 400NL
Flop raise should be bigger.
As played I would raise turn. As played rvr call is standard. |

Re: Bottom set facing aggression 400NL
[censored], man I wish you hadn't posted results. I was going to say call down since he has TT a lot imo and won't stack off overpairs anyways. You played it well.

Re: Bottom set facing aggression 400NL
I'm not sure. I don't think I'd make a much bigger flop raise. If we knew the villain had what he had, we wouldn't be looking to blow him off his hand drawing that slim. Most of the time the villain isn't going to have a FD and we really want to keep him in the pot for a while.
