Re: DSI Sportsbook
I have been researching these ridiculous teaser plays. For instance can anyone give me some more info on sweetheart teasers. I tried calling DSI about it but they are clueless.
Also, by doing these larger than normal teasers, is the only downside the fact that you are not getting correct odds and is this a huge problem. For example, lets say you do a ten point three team teaser. Lets say you should get 3 to 1 on your money, but the book is laying you 2 to 1. However, since there is a higher likelhood of you covering with these extra points is it ok to sacrifice true odds in favor of higher probability you win the bet? |

Re: DSI Sportsbook
There is this game called roulette. I never got a chance to see it in person though. The closest I got was being 5 people deep in a crowd at the table betting cranberries on 25 out of the 36 numbers. They were winning so often!
The next table over... these guys were real smart. They were betting on 34 numbers at a time and they won even more than the people at the first table I was trying to watch. I hope I can actually get a chance to play this myself one day. /ImStillBenoff |

Re: DSI Sportsbook
Look, I understand the -EV of 5,6, 7 team teasers.
I am asking specifically about sweetheart teasers and 10 pt three team 1:1 payout teasers. If you could bet on Dall, SD and INDY this week, with a ten point teaser, and bet 500 and win 450 would this be +EV bet? Are the odds fair enough? SHould I need to win 550? |

Re: DSI Sportsbook
OK here is a concrete example. My book offers a 4 team, 15 pt. teaser. You can bet on the three games and one over/under.
Would you do this bet: 500 would be an average amount of win/loss each weekend. You can only make one bet this weekend. You bet 1250 to win 500 if Hou/Tex over 24.5 Jets +11.5 SF +17 SD +3.5 NYG +18 |

Re: DSI Sportsbook
Let me phrase my question this way.
Last Sunday Night Dallas played the Bears. At the time of the game I bet 300 bucks on the Dallas ML and obviously won. I think I wont like 450 or something. Now, I personally felt very strong that the Boys would win and almost all books had Dallas by +3. Now, lets say I could only find Dallas by -1 at my book. Should I still want to make the bet feeling the boys would win me cash, or not because it was widely avaialable at +3 and so would be getting bad value for my money? |
