fun hand vs. unknown - standard dbl paired river
how's flop?
how many of you keep going on turn? i figured he's bluffing so often that i should just call and raise most rivers (or bet if checked to), yeah? on this particular turn, it seems like i can only call, yeah? why do you think we get c/r a lot here? cause we are unlikely to have hit?

Re: fun hand vs. unknown - standard dbl paired river
call river as played but doesn't he make that play alot with 7x Tx or a PP... like 3 betting turn seems fine. if u really think he is just bluffing i guess mini raise the river and maybe he'll do something stupid.

Re: fun hand vs. unknown - standard dbl paired river
elaborate on turn play? i agree that he has air a bunch of the time, but i don't hate 3betting.
i'd just call river as played. |

Re: fun hand vs. unknown - standard dbl paired river
Checking the flop is fine because no better hands will fold and few worse will call. We also don't mind giving Ax a free card. Betting is ok too imo because he's likely to have a bunch of outs and it will make the hand easier to play on future streets. Don't think an unknown will c/r a lot, but if we bet we will need to fold the best hand some. I think I prefer checking the flop.
On a 2 flushed board I just 3-bet the turn, many players will overplay their FDs so get as much in as possible. If he has the other 4 we'd like to get it in as soon as possible as any club/spade on the river might scare him into c/c on the river. Villain could put us on a draw on the turn given the board and pay off with a T. I think you're overestimating how often villain c/r the turn with air. |

Re: fun hand vs. unknown - standard dbl paired river
I prefer betting this flop just because we have a hand that can stand no pressure on later streets and he often has a lot of outs to win (and we don't know what they are). I would 3bet this turn and get it in. Too many draws out there for my liking, and he can still have Tx, 4x etc. Call the river obv.
