I wasn't sure if it's already been posted here or not, but CP raised its rake from 4$ max to 5$ max on the 2/4-8/16 games this morning. The 15/30 and 30/60 still have a 4$ max, but now include a jackpot drop.

The low limits pay a higher rake then higher limits? How the heck do they get away with that?

Arent the blue ($1) chip games 10% and the yellow and higher 5%? Sounds like they are trying to push the lower limit players up into yellow. Should make them more...interesting. Plus yellow chip games are the most lucrative for the dealers on average?

Good question. My guess is there's higher demand for low limit games/incentive to keep high limit games going. Not to mention they pretty much have a monopoly here. There's no competition.

The higher rake probably won't even drive anyone away.

Any news of rising cost of tournament fees?
