[ QUOTE ] Don't post OOP, wait for the big blind. [/ QUOTE ] lmao [/ QUOTE ] Think about it. Let's say you normally make 4 ptbb/100 which is 8 big blinds per 100 hands. Let's assume you average 100 hands per table in a session. Posting OOP will then subtract about 0.5 ptbb/100 from your winrate. That's a lot of money in the long run. On the other hand it makes you look like a donkey, which you could exploit. |

You pay an extra 0.5 ptbb to play in CO but you win that back a % of the time so say the real cost is .25ptbb. Then if you win at a 4ptbb/100 the extra 3 hands played per session nets you 0.12ptbb (breakeven at a winrate of 8ptbb/100). Of course if you assume you win back more than 0.25ptbb per posting (and you should with a positive winrate) then you can play with lower base winrates. If there are metagame considerations you can play at an even lower winrate. Overall for a winning player, posting in the CO is about a toss up. |

as far as posting from CO, sometimes I'll sit down and see a couple of fish I recognize and have position on, so I'll post. But if I'm at a table full of unknowns I usually wait for the blinds. I def don't think frequently posting in the CO will subtract .5BB/100 from a competent players wr.

I'd raise the flop, your hand is pretty strong but you want to isolate and push out any fd's. Even against an overpair your fliping which is what I'm guessing BB has.

Don't post as CO, just wait til the blinds come around.
That said I think I'd raise this flop. You've got bottom pair plus an OESD and backdoor flush and your raise could buy you a free card and get rid of button behind you. As played there's no way you should be calling that river. You have bottom pair and the flush just came in, and the guy has been betting big the whole time. What do you beat? |

I really can't bring myself to not raise this river.
Calling with those odds is probably fine, too. He might show up with 45, 44, naked 8, etc. |
