you don't want to give a freecard so you have to bet the turn.
make it $2.5 - $3 and call a push.

im not shure about his overbet.. but pushing a set on NL10 is no mistake.
You still have outs to make the fullhouse.

Need stats on the player. Against an unknown this is a fold.

Make a small blocking bet on the turn, if it gets raised you can muck it.

Not bad. Nextime make a pot-sized bet on a draw heavy flop such as the one in this hand. Pot the turn and call a shove.

If your intention was to check raise the turn, this is very dangerous considering there were two hearts on the flop, but it ended up working out for you since villain overbet the pot (which is really weird...not sure what he'd be trying to protect) and you got all your money in anyway. Hopefully villain didn't have QJ.

You generally want to play your sets very fast especially at this level. Villains will chase all kinds of crap and take TPTK to the bank.

I agree with the flop play. The turn play, however, forces our opponent to play perfectly. If he pushes to a pot size bet we are against a big hand and we should fold. By potting it we are forcing ourselves to call and losing equity.

A small bet on the turn is the best way to go. This way we can fold if he comes over the top, and if he just calls w/ his straight we can pair the board and shove the river.

Hi cabdo,

A small bet on the turn also gives villain the odds to draw to a flush, especially if you consider a small bet $1.00 into a $3.25 pot. Isn't it possible that villain could have something like AT and floated the flop with a gut shot and 2 overcards? Now the turn gives him TPTK (top pair, top kicker), and I have seen a lot of donks overplay that. What reason would villain overbet the pot like that, what is he trying to protect? A lot of villains float overcards in situations like this and if they don't think their opponent hit the flop or turn (while they do), they'll overplay the hand. Just my 2 cents.
