Re: *** Official WCOOP 2008 Suggestions***
1. Don't double starting stacks and blinds every round in the HU event. 51200/1024000 blinds are silly.
2. Have a Kansas City Lowball event. 2-7 NL Single draw. |

Half-pot-limit stud sounds like a good event.

- I agree that two-day events are preferable to playing 20 hours straight, but I wonder how many recreational players would choose not to play an online tournament with a longer perceived time commitment (i.e. people who have jobs might not register for two-day events, even though they might have been willing to chance one inhumane marathon tournament session). No good solution here, I guess. [/ QUOTE ] This is a pretty good point. A lot of you pros asking for two-day tournaments may reconsider if 1/3 of the fish don't play because they can't work it into their schedule. |

Re: *** Official WCOOP 2008 Suggestions***
more steps between satellites
11 rebuy for a 320$ event is not good imo would it be possible to create some satellites with "last chance format" one by week for example one 109$ every week satellite for the 320$ , one ticket every entrant |

Re: *** Official WCOOP 2008 Suggestions***
The structures of the NL tournaments are great except for the fact that any times the blinds double I think it is a total mistake and one of the reasons I find myself playing less and less Stars tournaments in general. I played the Sunday 2nd chance and that structure was really good IMO so I can't imagine how good it must have been in the $1000. The starting structure for the horse structure was a complete joke. The First LHE round was pointless yet the first Stud H/L round was very important. Each game should be given a closer to equal weight.
Also I did not play the stud event bc of a conflict but when I was watching it for a bit the progression from levels 15 (2000/4000) to 17 (5000/1000) was so much bigger than the entire structure of the event after level 3. This is when the tournament was down to the final few tables. Why make it a crapshoot at that point after having such an amazing structure prior. I also think a PLO/PLHE event would be good. Biannual would be amazing because now I rolled to play almost whatever I want after this weekend and wouldn't have to pick and choose |

haven't read the thread cut off all tournaments at the 8 hour point and continue the next day [/ QUOTE ] this is no good imo, tournaments could go on for 3 days maybe 12 hour point would work though i think final two tables will not work, because like... for some of the bigger nlhe tournaments, it took ~18+ hours to reach the final two tables, and then the people are supposed to just go to sleep and play the next day? doesnt seem to make sense, especially not if they are planning to go to work that day or something. |

Re: *** Official WCOOP 2008 Suggestions***
I think this thread has been really good from what I've read and really really stress that they need to make at least 3 of the tourneys a two day affair.

Re: *** Official WCOOP 2008 Suggestions***
I know this has been said many times in this thread. I will just re-iterate to give more votes to the 2-day events. Please please make any tournament going over 15 hours two days events. Make it a 3 hour break, if you want to reduce colluding etc. I'll donate at least 2K for the buyins if you do this.
