u bet small on the turn with the intentions of keeping the post small so you can call on the river. If you do this you have to call a pot size bet on the river.

Saying all this, i am not a fan of the blocking bet on the turn, either check or bet-it will tell you more about the villian.

bet 5$ on the turn and push the river, if he flopped 2 pair he got counterfitted.

If you bet 5-6 on the turn you leave yourself with a PSB on the river, which is a good card for you unless he had you beat the whole way. As played, I'm calling the river. You'll see enough missed tens here to make it worthwhile

If you wanna keep the pot small, then don't bet the Turn. Personally, I would check the Turn and see what he does. As played, I think you should call the River.

I think you're right, the turn check is the better way to keep the pot small.
