Can someone tell me why West Virginia is only a touchdown favorite over South Florida? What am I missing here?

[/ QUOTE ]

Because they haven't played anyone and South Florida beat them last year in Morgantown and is returning most of their team?

Cause SFLA is really good and at home. I know a few WVA guys that are really worried about this game, think this is their biggest test of the year, and are worried they're gonna lose.

Very true. Miami had only lost one Thu night game at home *ever*, iirc, and was during the depths of probation in the mid/late 90s. Something like 11-1 otherwise.

oh yeah, on the PSU-Illinois game

for those that don't know, I am an Illinois alum. I have lived in Champaign-Urbana for over a decade now. I've missed about 12 Illinois home games since 1986 (that's 21+ seasons...damn year in prison cost me 6 games ).

My analysis on Illinois used to be my strongest suit, but I've been quite off since the beginning of last year...6-8-1 ATS IIRC. I am more than willing to bet against them just as often as I bet for them. I think I've likely posted against them more often on this forum.

I know there are some new users here and my avatar no longer flashes up a ton of Illinois images, so I thought I'd put that out there.

Anybody going to fade LSU this week? Tulane is terrible, but LSU plays the game of the century (Florida) next week.

Does Tulane even score? That's the better question. Why even play a 40 point line?
