Re: 13$ 6handed: AK early
I fold this too! There is just too much out there that beats us. At this limit I see often people going all in with very strong hands in similar situations. Seems to work quite often as most opps. think their bluffing

Re: 13$ 6handed: AK early
[sarcasm]Playing tricky and bluffing a lot in the low blind levels is ALWAYS profitable![/sarcasm]
It's a good fold nonetheless. Besides that i'm not a fan of AK in the low blind levels in games with small buyins and a high fish-/donkratio. I mostly play it like AQ or AJ in late position. Just limp, if I hit, try to accumulate many chips from a weaker ace, king, queen or jack and if i don't hit, i just invested 10-40 chips and can leave the pot quietly. A contiuation bet against donks is like throwing money in a wishing well. You can just hope it works... just my 2 cents |

Continuation bets are no good vs donks ?

Re: 13$ 6handed: AK early
Well, they succeed sometimes, but most of the time - especially in the low blind levels - they pay far too much for their bottom pair, a gutshot or a flushdraw, cause they think in absolute chips, not relative.
I don't say "don't contiuation bet", its just a personal preference on the low stakes. |

Re: 13$ 6handed: AK early
I c-bet almost 100% of the time HU unless the flop is like 9sTsJs and I have AKo w// no spades. Fold the riv is good.

A straight bets on the river b/c the player is afraid u will check behind. He got lucky this time, i would fold this unless i had a great read.
