Time to start the countdown until this PUA bulschwa snowballs into a giant fad that leads to every douchebag in north america trying to pick up any girl they bump into and completely missing the self improvement point of the whole thing...and just like the P-word, I'll be catching the end of the wave. Brutal. I'll be lucky to pick up some chubby stragglers by the time I'm done reading all this [censored] and have ironed out a full proof game plan. [censored] the information super highway and [censored] VH1.

Something tells me if you're already bemoaning your fate without even doing anything, it probably would never have worked for you in the first. Also, I like [censored] the information super highway and [censored] VH1 when there is a 99% chance that's how you found out about it. Way to call them on being sell outs when you'd never have heard of them without it.

This will be nothing like the P-word fad for several reasons.

1) If online poker were fully legal we'd still be making ass-tons of money easily. There will not be laws passed against PUA'ing.

2) Perhaps it will be that a lot of guys try learning PUA stuff for a while and it will affect everybody a little bit, but just like poker it eventually drops off. If it's a "fad" it means it will end, and those of us who still want to remain standing will prosper.

[/ QUOTE ]

Good points.

I like your style.

The final challenge should have been a best of three sarge-off for $50k, just like they do in LA (not that much $ though obv). This is very standard.

Rounds:
day game, club game,
amog game: strip clubs where the first guy opens the set first, and then the second guy opens the exact same girl at the same time between one to two minutes later. take turns going first. first one to get a legit make-out from a stripper wins, no make-outs then no one is a winner.

[/ QUOTE ]

Great idea. I don't know about the strip club idea though.

I didn't like the strip club challenge this week because it was artificial. Part of being a PUA is coming up to a stranger and getting them attracted to you. As Mystery acknowledged, a strip club is different because the girls are already trying to game the guys. So the whole part of the guy picking a target and opening the set is skipped because the girls go up to the guys and immediately engage in them.

If you're going to make the finals 2 of 3. I'd do two night attempts and a day attempt.

But I agree with you that teaching someone else is just lame. Some people say that you can't truly know a subject until you try to teach it to someone else. But come on, these guys obviously don't know the subject and having them teach two lame guys doesn't prove anything.

so was that episode staged...no way that douche bounced that stripper into the limo?

[/ QUOTE ]

Why not? I was fist deep into a stripper while still in the club before. making out with one in a limo is no big feat.

Yesterday, they had an extra episode containing extra instruction from Mystery. One of the problems noted in this thread is that Mystery gives very few actual tips and they spend too much time dealing the students instead of the teachings.

So the episode started off well, spending a lot of time on the topic of opening sets. Unfortunately, the rest of the tips were just as cut off as they were during the episodes.

They spent a lot more time having Mystery answer reader mail. But the questions asked by the readers were lame (e.g., "do women prefer brains or brawn?" His answer was that he doesn't think like that. You are what you are.)

Been keeping up with the the show a little bit thanks to its 43 replays a week. The prodcution does seem rushed, with what would be too short a time for the guys to make a change, but I think they operate their workshops in that short a time.

Also, I think it runs counter to the shows theme that the two finalist are the two that by far had the most going for them aesthetically.

[/ QUOTE ]I'll disagree here. They may have been the best looking guys there, but they also were incredibly bad in the first episode. So it does show a lot of progress. Plus, the fact that Joe D and Pradeep went so far despite having aesthetic issues should count for something, right?

I don't get this channel in Canada and neither do any of my friends. If this becomes a fad just like described in L.A in TheGame, it will happen in U.S and be on a much more underground level here in Canada.
