Personal experiences 12 tabling on 22\'-24\' LCD Widescreens
hey guys,
I am building a new setup and am looking at either buying a single 30" samsung, or buying multiple 22 or 24' monitors. Right now I run 2 23" CRTS but have my tables split up so there is 9 on one screen and 3 on the other. I really want to just run all 12 on one monitor but still be able to see things like PAhud stats w/out straining my eyes during long sessions. So my question is does any one have a 22 or 24" LCD widescreen monitor and run 12 tables (pokerstrs) on it without any problems? can u still see your PAHUD layouts fine, read names/text, betsizes? and if so could u use a ruler and tell me how big roughly each table is on ur screen? this would be a big help to me. I am so use to running my monitors at 1920x1440 and having tons of resolution and I know i will be giving up lots of that changing over to LCDs. setup is either gonna be 2x22s, 2x24s, or 30+22/24 . also personal opinions from 12+ tablers. Thanx! |

Re: Personal experiences 12 tabling on 22\'-24\' LCD Widescreens
well I have been running some tests and it is possible to 12 table on a 1920x1200 setup. You have to lay the tables 4 across and 3 vertically on the smallest size u can get on Pokerstars, and there is the tiniest bit of overlap horizontally, but basically none. Which makes it tempting to go ahead and buy this monitor. 28' Widescreen 1920x1200 for $680 on Newegg
but for 1200 u can get the samsung 30 which has 2560x1600 resolution which is like 40% more.... what to do what to do |

Re: Personal experiences 12 tabling on 22\'-24\' LCD Widescreens
Well after somr more exhausting research I am getting closer to making a decision. All the 22' monitors I have seen run 1680x1050. and this is not suitable for 12tabling. so that puts me into the 24'+ category, here is what i am considering
Brand/Size Price Resolution Samsung 30'= 1200 2560x1600 Hanns G 28'= 680 1920x1200 Acer 26'= 650 1920x1200 DCLCD 24'= 370 1920X1200 Acer 22'= 220 1680X1050 all prices are from Newegg. Maybe this information could help someone someday. |

Re: Personal experiences 12 tabling on 22\'-24\' LCD Widescreens
i find the 24" 1920x1200 resolution monitors too small for 12 tabling on one of them. i think this is a very bad idea, and i think you'd be much better off with a 30"
the pahud stats are very, very hard to read. |

Re: Personal experiences 12 tabling on 22\'-24\' LCD Widescreens
im in the same situation as you, As im planning to run the monitor from my laptop it means I can't get a 30" as the laptop won't support the full resolution.
So im thinking about buying 1 24-28" monitor with the resolution 1920x1200. You think getting a 28" will be alot better than the 24" considering the extra money? |

i have a 22" 1920x1200 and find it very very hard to read when 12 tabling with no overlap. it works rather well when 8 tabling with a little overlap fwiw.

Re: Personal experiences 12 tabling on 22\'-24\' LCD Widescreens
wow thank you guys for the response. I am gonna scrap the idea of 12 tabling on a 28' and instead drop the bucks and go with a 30. and also 2 lil 20s to go side by side w/ it. Im glad i posted this before i bought the 28. fwiw I found the 30' HP Here for 1169 after mail in rebate, free shipping. |

Re: Personal experiences 12 tabling on 22\'-24\' LCD Widescreens
True I got a 24" at the moment, and am not sure if I want to go for a 30" or 2x 20" (1600*1200), it ends up being practically the same res, but a 30" sure looks better .
Too bad I play on ipoker though, so no resizable tables, and I can barely 6table on a 24". |
