Spreading 72 game online?
Don't you think Full Tilt or Pokerstars could spread NL w/ the 72 game as featured on HSP online? Like say they would have a preset amount each player would win from each player at the table for winning with 72, still dealt randomly. This amount would be reasonable for each relative stake, and after each time someone won a hand, showdown or not, the hand would be shown and money would be distributed from each person to the winner of the hand. This would make the games a lot funner and obviously have a lot more action/metagame.

Sorry, not gonna happen. Too obscure a suggestion to be taken seriously.

I like the idea but you would probably see straddles first. HSP has had a lot of influence on local live games that I've played in. A poker site whould be wise to follow trends.

An online game that allows straddles? This would be...revolutionary and reality altering

I can't remember if they moved to a differet network or what but made a significant change and I didn't bother to download the new software. |

Re: Spreading 72 game online?
It would be a good idea indeed. I have already played the 7/2 game online once - just agreeing with other players and making P2P transfers after the session. Its a lot of fun and most probably some poker sites will add this feature soon enough.
steamboatin: yes, Wingows used to allow straddles but they have changed their software and the new one doesn't include the possibility. The software they were using before was Digital Gaming Network's software and it seems that this network is on their way down (there are no tournaments left etc.). |

Re: Spreading 72 game online?
I vaguely recall some site called "America's Best Poker" or something like that, from the early days. I never bothered with it, but their ads in Card Player indicated that they had all the options one sees in B&M casinos: Option for the blinds to chop, "kill" games, etc. I think they allowed straddling also, but I could be wrong. In any case, they seemed to be ahead of many other sites on features, but I assume they never built up a player base.
