As you mentionend, that flop call was really borderline, the rest looks fine to me and I think you have to call though it kind of sucks...

PS: I'm raising this PF 8 out of 10 times, seriously...

fold or raise preflop and fold the flop. As played just call the river.

I think folding to the flop raise would be best.

As played, call the river raise. He might be playing it as a scare card. If you didn't want to call a raise, then c/c on the river would have been better, since it would induce a bluff from worse hands, and only pay off a higher flush for less. So, I think c/c at the river would have won more when ahead and less when behind.

plz plz plz don't ever open limp in sb with trash. As played, fold flop, call river.

How are you so sure he'd play for stacks if a diamond hits on the turn? You said it was his first hand at the table. A d would scare a lot of people. Just because he raised that flop doesn't mean he hit a huge hand. You frickin OPEN LIMPED in the sb remember.

You have to call the river. Sounds like you lost to a higher flush, but I think you're going to see AT or KQ here a lot.

[/ QUOTE ]the problem with this is that they raise preflop (usually). I think I fold here. I might even c/c river because I don't like bet/fold.

Completing here is a big leak. Fold usually and raise if you are going to play at all, IMO.
Burgundy has a good point, you can't say you strongly feel he's stacking if you've barely seen him play.
He has played it very much like a flush. In hindsight c/c seems like a good line but if you have taken it this far I don't think you can let him check it down.
I really hate this spot and I feel like we are beat often but I don't think we can fold after calling the flop.

There were 2 spots you should have already folded this hand but if you are going to see it to the river folding now is even worse, which is one of the big reasons you should have already folded, b/c this spot is ugly.

You cant fold here so call.

It's villains first hand at the table and youre not sure how he plays. If he has something like KdQd he would probably raise from the blinds if he knows what hes doing and probably would do a second barrel on the turn too since he bet pretty big on the flop. Full ring players at NL100 are rarely that good and the river raise could be just about anything from JT to 55 when you both checked the turn. There could also be a better flush with Jdxd but played like this you cant fold.

From now on, fold this kind of hands pf. It's only a loss of $0.5 everytime you do it. Even a raise from SB would be better than just limping in.
