Wasn't the main event only hour and half/fortyfive minutes last year or was I just day dreaming the 12 hours I was there.

Thanks to all for replying. Here's my comments:

1) Alan Goering is right, it's not the number of days but the number of total hours played that matters.

2) The increase in the number of days and the reduction from 120 to 100 minutes/level means that some days may be very short...if people's M (stack size in relation to the blinds) stays the same, then days 4, 5, and 6 may only take 3 levels or 5 hours of playing time! (In reality, M tends to shrink slowly but 6 hours is still very plausible.) For people like me (over 50, mostly playing 1-hour or less sessions on the internet) this will be improve my chances immeasurably--and make it more enjoyable should I last a while. For the pros, the shorter levels does clearly cut the skill involved -- enough to make up for the additional levels thrown in a few years back.

See you all there.
