An Ethical Question
On bubbles that begin early (40/80-60/120), where you have the chip lead, is it unethical to take the full time allotted to force the blinds to go up faster?

Re: An Ethical Question
my friend does it all the time. I think it's fine. Just say that you're 12 tabling.

Re: An Ethical Question
I dont know if I agree that if you're the chipleader and the blinds are big, you are guaranteed to cash.

Re: An Ethical Question
You have a better opportunity to accumulate more chips at higher blinds as opposed to when it's 50/100 or w00tever.

Re: An Ethical Question
I don't get why you'd think this was a winning strategy if you're attempting to play poker for a profit, mathematically speaking.

Re: An Ethical Question
No just tell everyone at the table that you suck, and want to play as few hands as possible against them so they cannot exert their edge on you.
If you look at the above from the reverse perspective, I think you'll see why your idea is dumb regardless of the ethics behind it. |

Even if you autofold every hand, other people playing hands is +$EV for you. You gain prize pool equity if they bust and you get the aforementioned +$EV bubble spots anyway if they don't. The only way to [censored] that up is to stall. |

Re: An Ethical Question
I don't think it's unethical but I'm with slim it doesn't necessarily seem +EV to me. And tbh I wouldn't do it.
Look at it this way. If we do this 2 thing occur: 1. Less hands with 2. A higher EV for HERO. (supposedly) vs. 1. More hands 2. With a slightly lower yet still positve +EV. If your a winning player I don't see why you would ever do this. Essentially in terms of the maths it's quite similiar to the multitabling vs ROI debate. I like to let my opponents make mistakes and that is where the profit comes from these. Let them have a chance to make them. |

Re: An Ethical Question
These are our options:
small blinds/large blinds don't play / play play / play Assuming ur better than your opponents how can "don't play + play" > "play + play"? For that to happen the EV of playing in the small blinds would have to be negative. If this is the case, move down. |
