mentality of being down when you are up
hi, first post in this forum.
whenever i make money in a day, say that i had 100 at beginning and make that up to 500 by afternoon, and then later on in the day lose say 250 and move back down to 250, i feel like i am down and this sometimes makes me tilt, cause i feel like i have lost loads, even though i am up for the day. how does everyone else cope with this, and how do they decide the period from which they will decide if they are up or down in ie i always try and base if i am up or down in days, not sessions any help also in ways of stopping oneself from tilting would be appreciated and ways you find best to cool off from beats or heavy losses thx in advance |

Re: mentality of being down when you are up
meh, whenever I'm down for the day or whatever, I just set my PT to "all days" and then see that I am up a lot in the long run. Then I remember that it's all about long run.
But what you say about the being up 500 and then being down 250, well you are on a 250 losing streak, so nothing wrong with feeling down. I was actually hoping your post would be about something else that I experience sometimes. I don't check my stats until after a session so I always get to have fun guessing how I did. Sometimes after a 2-3 hour session I'll think I was down 2-3 buyins and end up being up 2-3 buyins. Great feeling... happens the other way too |
