Default (NL10) AK faces push on turn

Villain is 28/15/3.6 over 500 hands. My reads on him is that he is a donkey, but not donkish enough to be on my buddy list. According to PT he was down 3 buyins before this hand

Didn't want to play this hand multi-way, so I raised it up pf. Figured his hand might not be too good as he just called my raise even though he seems aggressive with the goods.

Noble Poker 0.05/0.10, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

saw flop

Button Hero ($9.65)
SB ($3.80)
BB ($6.17)
UTG ($4.39)
UTG+1 UTG+1 ($10.70)
MP ($9.90)
MP MP ($2.00)
CO-1 ($9.62)
CO ($10.16)

Preflop: Hero is on the Button with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
1 fold, UTG+1 raises to 0.20, MP calls 0.20, 1 fold, CO calls 0.20, Hero raises to 0.90, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls 0.70, 2 folds.

Flop (2.35) T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets 1.30, UTG+1 calls 1.30.

Turn (4.95) A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG+1 moves all-in for 8.50, Hero??!

So... What do you guys think about the huge bet on turn? Comments on other streets are also welcome.

Raise more preflop you have two other callers and the blinds to get rid of. I would bump it to 1.20. Plus you are way ahead of UTG+1 range.

I call his shove. I think your ahead here more than your behind.

There are a lot of hands this donkey plays that have a (T) in them. Around 20% of his preflop range. I think you can fold this pretty comfortably.

How would you expect him to play JJ-KK (c/r flop?) or AQ, AJ or are you saying that big bets from donkeys are usually the nuts or in this case at least trip Ts? Sorry, I'm just trying to figure out how we came up with different answers.

Thanks

You are not getting very good odds here. Is this guy just smooth calling the flop with a naked A like AQ or AJ? Is he trappy? Would he make this play with JJ? 66?

I think you can fold here because I don't think you are good 50% of the time but if you have a read on what his overbets mean then that could change real fast.

I think you should have raised more preflop. You want to cut the SPR much lower here. I think a raise to 1 or 1.1 would be good. This would make the post flop a little bit easier. If you had raised to that amount preflop then your flop bet could have been 1.7 and then you would only have 7 behind in a 5 dollar flop. I think in that spot you may be able to call.

I think you guys are right on that I could have re-raised a bit more PF.

Normally I'd consider folding the turn since he bet so big, but the line is IMO a bit strange. I mean he min raised UTG+1 and called a re-raise with a lot of players left to act behind him, flat called flop and pushed when the ace hit the turn. I'm just confused of villains line.

If he's a look up artist? Call it. Some explanation of the hands he stacked off with would help in my decision.

Most of the hands were mined, so I haven't played that much with him.

Threads, there is $5 in the pot, and he has me covered - so its 7.5 to see a 12.5 pot. Wouldn't this mean I need to win less than 40% to break even?

Anyhow he had KTo which I found to be a bit surprising. I guess I shouldn't always consider minraises as actual raises.
