You need 16 to 20 buy-ins @ 100 BB unless you are a proven winner who can crush the micro limits.
20 Buy-Ins for Micro Limits:
BB -> 100 BB -> Minimum Bankroll
.10 $10 $200
.25 $25 $500
.50 $50 $1000

$200 is the minimum you need to start playing cash games properly rolled. Do it with less at your peril...variance sucks.

Depends on what game you're playing. For no limit, your safe level would be NL5, and for limit, it would be .10/.20. If you're good you might be able to move up quickly, but if you do that you will have to be willing to go back down if things don't work out.

The reality is that with a $70 bankroll, you may go broke. Period. I'd play the absolute smallest game that you can until you have a better sense of your EV.

So, this is to say that for 3/6 Hold'em, I'd need to buy in for $600? I generally buy in for $100, which is what's recommended by Lee Jones in Winning Low Limit Hold'em (actually, $80-$100 is his recommendation.

EDIT: I'm not an onliner tho. I play B&M

Pokerstars 5nl is the absolute easiest game i've played, maybe that would be a good place to start.

I thought that buying in for $100 as stated by tactical was crazy. I get annoyed with people buying in for minimum, but then I started thinking is there a method to their madness. Obviously it looks like they are scared to risk much by bringing it to the table, but at the same time they are never offering good implied odds to call raises with. Eg I would fold a low/medium pp to a small raise from one of these short stacks, whereas I would generally call when facing a big stack. Do you think this is their plan??

No, there is much less profit from micro-stacking it. I think these people are depositing the minimum to the site and playing really short because they are tight. I lean on these people regularly.
