Re: NL100 - KK, this is standard right?
Does our line make us very exploitable for regs??

Re: NL100 - KK, this is standard right?
One thing I tought about with this line, is that when I check behind on flops like this I always got a mediocre strength hand (plying against fullstacks). In this hand I would check behind with KK, QQ, Jx, maybe 88-TT and a less likely maybe, weak aces.
It doesn't matter that my range is so weak at small stakes, nobody will have that good a read anyway. But how does the players at medium/high stakes get around this? Do they check behind with some better hands to to merge their range and therfore suffer a loss in value with the hands they merge with? Because it can't be funny to play against good players who know you only check behind with medium/weak hands and just grab the pot with a c/r on the turn. |

Re: NL100 - KK, this is standard right?
im gonna elaborate some of ASpoker's points, because they need explaining to people and one or two word answers cant explain much.
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Does our line make us very exploitable for regs?? [/ QUOTE ] no [/ QUOTE ] because by not cbetting the flop we allows regs to think that their 1pair hand (jack, TT etc) is good. if we bet the flop it is likely that he will only call if he has an ace, then he has us crushed. i like OP's line, but i think he should call river as his hand is underrepped. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] minraise turn [/ QUOTE ] quit poker [/ QUOTE ] minraising turn is very bad. mainly because it will fold out all hands we beat (missing a lot of value), and so all hands that beat us will call (allowing villain to play perfectly vs us) villain could also raise us which would mean we would have to insta-fold. Basically, a minraise would allow villain to play perfectly; whereas a just calling allows him to make mistakes with all hands we beat. |

Re: NL100 - KK, this is standard right?
In a situation similar with a good opponent you`ll not face a puzzyass bet like this on river. He`ll balance his bluffs and legit hands making your decission thougher
About the hand, I aggree that raising anywhere post is not good as it allows the opponent to play perfect ie fold his crap and call with his good hands. Let him spew with pp`s, J`s and bluffs that u beat or loose in a manner that looses the least, and if it`s not the case- adjust as a read develops. Stokken |

Re: NL100 - KK, this is standard right?
miniraising turn is fine ebcause you get a showdown and worse hands WILL call a miniraise while minimising losses vs an ace
we are not getting raised without a bettewr hand at 100nl (lol) so who cares if you have to fold if they raise betting flop is better anyway but if youre going to check the flop minriasing this turn is fine imo its way less bad than you seem to think, although obviously ill change my mind if you come up with a good reason why not... dont think check flop call turn +riv is good because 100nl people are wqeak as [censored] and dont often bluff 2 streets without anything having recognised that you dont have an ace. this lineis an ace more often than not |
