Re: Pocket 3s
30 on the river is ~1/4 of the pot. Not a good bet, it can easily induce a bluff raise, and put you in a tough spot.

What did I lose to? What hand could he have to justify his bets?

Re: Pocket 3s
Pipcelot,
With ~80BB it would be diffcult for me to find a fold with a set here. If he runner runnered you then oh well. He would have to 89,Q9,or AQ to make straight. Those hands seem very unlikely given flop action and board. The board is so dry on the flop that he either got feisty and raised you with a gutter straight and backdoor clubs, or more likely, he is FOS. Your bet shows tremendous weakness since its not even big enough to be considered a valuebet. Infact if he had TP I bet he calls that crap for showdown value and curiosity. Shoving over the top reps air as the majority of his range with something like Ac7c and such as a smaller portion. Don't make bets like that unless you have a plan as to how you will react to any heat. In this case a bet like that should be to induce a shove in which case you will be snapcalling. Lastly, in the future you should put the suit after the card and in lowercase. It makes reading your posts easier. Flop comes Kc 7d 3s Turn is Jc River is Tc |
