After reading the "small pot big pot" thread, I have been trying to implement it tonight. I have been running VERY bad lately and reading that thread really got me thinking how much was bad play from me, or just genuine variance/bad luck.

Notes: BB just lost a huge pot to the MP limper the hand before.

MP limper is total maniac, has been 3 betting most raises, and staying in until most rivers. Earlier he capped me on every street with 9 high no draw, when I flopped top set.



Preflop: Hero is in the SB with 2 A
3 folds, MP calls 3, 3 folds, Hero calls 1.50, BB checks.

Flop (3sb) 8 9 A rainbow
Hero checks, BB bets, MP calls, Hero calls.

Turn (3BB) J completes rainbow
Hero checks, BB bets, 1 fold, Hero calls.

River (5BB) J
Hero bets........

i read this after the hand you posted next, anyways... i would raise pf, bet flop and 3bet, take it from there, he wants to play lag, you hit him with your better hands, when he has an ace in this spot, which he has imo not alot, you'll loose some extra bets
