NL100 - KK, this is standard right?
So, I've only played about 50 hands with villain. He's a multitabler and I'm pretty sure he's a reg. Obviously I haven't got to much information but he seems TAGish. We played 2 hands against eachother before the hand below. One where it was folded to me in the sb, I make it €3 and he calls. The flop comes 3 low cards and I cbet and then fold my Ax to his raise. The other hand he took it down pf with a 3-bet.
Effective stacks 100bb I'm on the button with KK, everybody folds to me and I make it €3,5. Villain cold calls in the sb and bb folds. FLOP: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] He checks and I check behind. TURN: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] He bets €6 and I call. RIVER: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] He bets €13 and I fold. Opinions?, I was very, very close to call the river. |

Why not bet the flop or raise the turn? You have no clue where you are at, he might be valuebetting a J or another pair?

cbet the flop, river is close but a fold looks OK

umm, yeah you have no idea where you are without raising the flop or turn. Don't see how you can fold here as played. Call.

Re: NL100 - KK, this is standard right?
There are alot of bad and passive players against wich I would cbet the flop for value against fd, jacks and whatnot. But against good players a cbet will not accomplish anything, I fold out all the hands that I beat and het c/r by a fd, and I don't want to face a c/r becasue I would have to fold obv. Villain here seems aggresvive and good. I thought a check behind was very standard?
And a rasie on the turn just seems truly and utterly dumb, I don't see any needs to turn my hand into a bluff. I really don't see why you guys want to make a information bet or whatever you call it so bad, I just don't see the value in it. His riverbetsize seemed to me as if he wanted to get value from an ace, but I guess it's a call. Close though. |
