like i said earlier I play a lot of these and have won and Fted a few...no point in waiting cause no one else does...You cannot pass up spots when this short if you want to get deep and win...I've learned not to love the calls as I'm making them but just remember that winning 10-18 is not important...nature of the beast that you have to gamble and others will do the same

.... Guy decided to spend the next 10 minutes as observer complaining ..., citing his poker resume and how close to pro he is.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sometimes it seems like a third of the players that get knocked out bitch like little Hellmuths.

I still can't grasp why someone playing in a $1 to $20 buy in game is surprised by less than perfect play.
Often, thier own play still leaves a lot to be desired.
(no matter what's on thier "Resume")

No one likes to lose, esp. to a bad beat or even plain old variance. Sometimes..." Poker Happens".

Personally, no matter what, I try to be gracious in defeat (or winning).

I wish more people would do the same.

BTW I think your call was RIGHT.
and I'm glad it worked out.

Well i think preflop is marginal but I had been stealing plenty. Flop is meh but the last thing I was expecting was a call! And not from that hand.

But i was just posting for his hand not mine.

Anyways I sucked out a few times and won the comp so didn't mind posting a hand where my play could be criticized

I'd probably call here, and I'll give you my reasons.
1) You have a pretty short stack and need to do something soon.
2) I think you'd be a favorite most of the times in this situation.
3) You say it's 17 left. Isn't the payout structure the same for 10th to 18th in these touraments? That would be a reason to call IMO. If you don't double up soon you're not likely to be amoung the 9 best anyways anyways, and you'd not get any more than you would if you go out now. So take a shot, if it's a coinflip or if you're even a slight dog, I still think you should call and gamble.
