Suicide pool--Pitt or Baltimore?
I'm in a work suicide pool--I must make one pick a week, straight, no line. I've already used New England and Denver, so I can't pick them again. I think Baltimore and Pittsburgh are both good picks this week. Which would you pick?

Balt...Pitt has more favorable matchups later in the year.

Re: Suicide pool--Pitt or Baltimore?
Yeah, it's usually a good idea to pick an 0-2 team in a suicide pool.
Next week, if you're still alive, pick Atlanta. Or maybe Buffalo. - C - |

Re: Suicide pool--Pitt or Baltimore?
You dont think KC at home vs Minn with a new qb is a decent pick?
Also, in suicide leagues you try to save some of the good picks. But keep only betting by records and not matchups. Nice comparison of KC at arrowhead to Atl or Buff. |

Re: Suicide pool--Pitt or Baltimore?
I don't know too much about football, admittedly. I'd rather play poker than watch football
But I'd rather take what I see as a smaller edge later in the season and take my chances than bust out in Week 3. I appreciate your idea, though. |

This seems like a game that could easily be decided by one defensive or special-teams TD so I wouldn't be thrilled about betting money on it or picking it in a survivor pool. To the person who said Pittsburgh has more favorable matchups later in the year, it looks like the other way around to me? I'm looking at Baltimore week 6 vs. St. Louis but Pittsburgh doesn't have a usable game for almost two months. In any case I'm on New England. |
