Re: ****Official 2007 NY Mets NL East Champs Thread****
Man, I totally broke out in laughter when Hernandez or whoever kept saying in reference to getting out that marlins batter, "He's gotta get Wood here, they need to get Wood here."

Looks like it may have to be the Braves to help save the Mets' division/season. =\

Re: ****Official 2007 NY Mets NL East Champs Thread****
Now that I have calmed down and looked at this game from a fres view, Sosa pitched great. He faced 5 batters, the 1st hit a line drive single. After that he got 2 weak ground outs, (one for an error) a pop fly in the air for 20 minutes that fals in, another weak ground out and then a pop out. Feliciano really had a worse inning if you look at it plainly, but he did only face one batter, you hate to say it, but David Wright is basically 100% responsible here.

Re: ****Official 2007 NY Mets NL East Champs Thread****
I thought I could resist looking at this thread after another horrid loss, but I just couldn't.
More and more, I keep thinking that it just doesn't matter if this team manages to make the playoffs, since there seems to be such little chance that they will have any post-season success. I don't think I'm being overly emotional either. Trying to be as objective as possible, is there really any reasonable basis to believe that the Mets' bullpen will suddenly start performing at a decent clip, ever? Aside from Wagner, no one else inspires even the least bit of confidence. And that's the way it has been for quite a while. |

Oh by the way, BOB, I blame you - and anyone else who agreed with you at the time - for the bullpen's woes because you disagreed with me when I said at the trading deadline that their biggest need was help in the bullpen.
The disappearing lead is all your fault. |
