why haven't you just called on the flop?

you have nearly the nuts here (a call with 45 preflop is so unlikely that i would disregard it) and i wouldn't be very affraid of a draw here.

so i would try to keep mp2 in the pot, or at least give mp3 another chance to bet on the next street.

as a footnote:
if i call with a medium or PP for set value, i know that i must have implied odds of 1:10, which is possibel here with these stack sizes, but you have to work to get 36k in the pot to make the preflop call worth the risk.

Yeah I think I played the hand scared.

But I figured if MP3 is r/r MP2 then he's calling my shove.

just because mp3 r/r mp2's retarded sized bet to half pot doesn't mean he's that strong where he calls your shove.

I think it's fairly safe (with just the straight draw possible from the board) to flat call here. If I had to guess from the line, mp2 just has overcards and made a weak probe, mp3 could easily have 88/99/maybe TT (JJ+ r/r pf I think). I like flatting here and hope to see some paint on turn and let someone keep stabbing at the pot (and maybe stack off with a made TP).

The shove looks like someone who flopped a set or someone who had a big pair preflop and decided to slowplay it pf to allow others to juice the pot...regardless, it's enough of a giveaway that villains know they're behind considerably.

At lower stakes I play my big hands hard and fast because villains will easily stack off here with any draw and ANY overpair...but in this instance there hasn't been enough strength shown to know that villains come along for the ride...and the flop texture/pf action is such that a flatcall is a relatively safe line to maximize value.
