Default Bonus/Rake Bck Question

I have seen some say to always play for a bonus and/or sign up for rakeback. Can someone explain further? Are these available at Full Tilt?

Thanks.

In short, you go to an affiliate that the card room uses to bring in new members. If you sign up through that affiliate, the affiliate will return back some of the rake you paid to play at that site. There are a lot of banners here for affiliates, especially on the upper right hand side of each page.

FTP does indeed have rakeback, at 27%. There are plenty of places to get it, though RaketheRake and RakeReduction are both legit and widely used (as are undoubtedly others). You might want to ask this question in the Affiliates forum for a more specific answer.

Now, the bonuses are usually give directly by the site, either for your first deposit or a deposit during a special time (a reload bonus). Basically, these represent temporary rakeback. FTP has this too; a 100% bonus up to $600. You can get both the bonus and the rakeback, so you are highly advised to sign up through an affiliate for the full $600 so you can maximize what you get out of bonuses.

There must be a million and one threads on this if you search.

Basically when you first sign up for a site there is normally a bonus the site offers for a specific time. In other words an incentive for you to play their site. Once its over, its over.

Rakeback is different in that you get a % of your rake back (as the name suggests). Just sign up to a site using an affiliate such as raketherake. Google if you want more.

DO NOT sign up to a site unless it is through a rakeback site otherwise you are burning money.

Full Tilt you can – rakeback sites have all the info you need.
