Holdem Movie coming out called "DEAL"

Save Worms life. Turns out that the jail he'll be booked to Grandma is there and has orders from KGB to kill him. He hopes that if he can come up with 129 dollars this will save worms life and allow him to rebuild his bankroll.

He makes only 100 dollars and plans to try to give that to KGB but when he get to NYC KGB is in vegas for the WSOP...He flys to vegas and challenges KGB (who is playing in the HORSE event) to play for 100 dollars. KGB laughs him off and declines to play for such a small amount.

Mike goes to Bobbys room anyways and plays with all the highest stakes pro's and turns his 100 dollars into 1 million dollars. KGB busts out of the Horse event and get word of Mike playing in the Biggest Games at bobbies world.

Well he then goes to mike and accepts his challenge to play heads up for Worms life only catch is...they have to play PLO which mike doesn't have much experience with... yadda yadda yadda...Worm get to live in jail for 10 years...mike is hero again...last scene is him busting out of the WSOP by some donkey...

KGB declines to play Mike, but he says he'll accept the offer if he plays...PA or DB or Phill Ivey or whoever would accept the roll in the movie. better yet Johnny Chan...throw back holla

There's supposed to be a movie coming out next year about Amarillo Slim with nicolas Cage starring as Slim. It's written by the guys who did "Ali" and "Nixon."

Slim's book "Amarillo Slim in a World Full of Fat People: The Memoirs of the Greatest Gambler Who Ever Lived" was one of my favorite reads in quite a while. Who knows how many of the stories are totally true though...

How could they mess this up? Just scribe the book into a script and film it. That was a damn good read. Should be an easy movie to make too. It has everything in it...good guys, bad guys, money, crazy ass bets, etc. Those prob bets should appeal to most people. He plays ping pong against a champ with a frying pan for christ's sake.

Actually, apoker mockumentary would be great if they got rid of Shannon and any other poker 'pros' and assembled the usual mockumentary cast from Spinal tap, Best in Show, etc.

DEAL premiere postponed indefinitely...

Don't think anyone mentioned this yet but the red carpet premiere for DEAL was set for this Monday, October 1 but was cancelled last minute by the studio execs due to "studio requirements" which is hollywood for "it sucks right now and needs some fixin'."

Hollywood loves to throw good money after bad and this is no exception. While some expect the movie to still hit theatres this winter sometime...i'm guessing a straight to DVD release in light of this.

Also if you live in Vegas you probably heard shannon pimping some "win a trip to Vegas for the Deal premiere" contest which was basically a timeshare promotion pitch...i guess those lucky 50 will be getting a resort tour rather than a red carpet walk.
