Attention Mason:
If you really want to punish Clarkmeister, unban him immediately, but not before deleting his ignore list.

Re: Who banned Clarkmeister?
Hi MEbenhoe:
I banned him. He was attacking someone who has lost at least 98 percent of his vision and can only play poker with the help of someone else telling him what the cards are. It was beyond shameful and I consider Clarkmeister's comments to be one of the low points in the history of our website. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: Attention Mason:
Hi jman:
I'm not interested in punishing Clarkmeister. But it is important that we uphold certain established standards on our site. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: Who banned Clarkmeister?
Hi NT:
Hal just happens to be a good friend. But that's not why CM got banned. It's simply below the standards of this site to attack someone who has lost 98 percent of his vision because he slows up the game. I consider this a shameful incident that's well below the standards established here. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: Who banned Clarkmeister?
I apologise for my glib comment above.
On the assumption that CM knows of Hal's disability, (of which, I did not), I agree with you. |

Banning Clarkmeister is almost as LOL as banning El Diablo. [/ QUOTE ] I want to make this very clear. I would ban anybody else for the same reason. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: Attention Mason:
This seems like one of the least reasonable bannings I've ever seen here. The whole thing just looks childish when you say, "I don't want to punish him" and "He's ten times the person you are." I thought that last comment (the one made in the thread) was really low class, especially given the premise of the ban. The comment would have gotten ZERO attention if you hadn't banned him. Instead it's going to cause riots (OOT thread), which you surely knew would happen.
I don't know this guy. I don't even know what tournament Clark was talking about. I just don't get how this can make any sense. See Diablo's comments about bizarre tiers of rules. |

How does Clarkmeister's thread compare to this thread? Kristine Lilly: ugliest woman in sports? |

Re: Who banned Clarkmeister?
Hi Masked Man:
I understand your comments and your reasoning for them. But let me make this very clear. Attacking someone who has lost 98 percent of his vision, and has to bring someone with him to tell him what the cards are, because he plays to slow is simply shameful. The fact that Hal happens to be a friend had nothing to do with my giving CM a vacation. However, because he is a friend of mine, I happen to know a lot about the situation while many of you might not. The fact that Hal can still play poker is amazing, and his finishing in the money at the WSOP is more amazing yet. I think the way everyone needs to look at this is "How would you feel if a couple of years from now you couldn't see anymore but were being attacked on a public and highly read forum like ours because you slow the game down." Best wishes, Mason |
