probably find a fold here but its read dependant, i cant put an open limp from the button on an ace, unless hes tricky and is looking for you to put him all in preflop, Id probably have led the flop for 400 and fold to a shove. your doing plenty well enough to just walk away from marginal spots like this against a stack thats committed if you call.

He's limping on the button with 11 BBs, which makes me very suspicious. But I still think we have to consider his range pretty wide. When he bets 600 on the flop I think we lose most of our FE here, and I'm not confident enough that 8s are ahead here a little more than 33% of the time (according to quick math, about the pot odds he would get if you both got all your money in). I think I fold.

spite push, let him show A10, then laugh at him when you hit runner runner flush saying "LOL, nice limp donk."

his range here is really wide, but you can include more aces than 8s here and put in flush draws with an over and you can find a fold here.

On the flop, I think you need not either bet/fold, or check/fold.

Check/call isnt good with these stacks

The key here is that your MP is unlikely to improve. Even if it's the best hand now, more overcards will cause a fold later. I have no problem folding MP after Villain raised.

However, I'd probe this one on the flop with a t350 to t400 bet, fold to r/r. If called, I'd be inclined to c/f turn unless I improved to 2-pr/set.

i didn't lead bc it looks like i have a draw/6 or 8 and my opponent can represent an ace and put pressure on me with air by raising. when he bet the pot i felt it was inconsistent w his limp. if hes limp trapping hed want to continue the trap w a smaller bet. so i raised to 2500 and he folded.

Ham,

That's fair and I think that it's an OK analysis. More and more in MTTs, I've been checking around flops and rope a doping, because so many players think that they can FPS you into folding once you show even a trace of weakness. I think leading here is terrible, btw. The only thing I'm wary of on this partciular spot is that given the board texture, an A scared of the flush draw will be here a large percent of the time, an A scared of a straight draw will do the same, a flush with overs will do this as well and committ, and so forth. in fact, if he happens to have K8 or something, he may spite call you thinking you have the flush draw. So, I still think it's a fold, but a CR here is ballsy and I'm glad it worked out for you.

I think this is a call. Button prob has a weak ace, but you have 2nd pair + BD FD + BD SD. You can also play/rep the heart draw as well to give you 9 bluff outs if you don't improve.
