Default 22$ tough spot with AA

the BB is solid regular but is on semi tilt. utg+1 is an absolute retard. has open shoved 22 utg second hand, shoved 5k stack into top set with gut shot when pot is 300 chips.

Paddy Power "Double Stack" Bari 30/60, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

Button (2320)
SB <font color="#C00000">Hero (3132)</font>
BB <font color="#C00000">BB (2470)</font>
UTG (2730)

Preflop: Hero is in the SB with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG calls 60, UTG+1 raises to 240, 1 fold, Hero raises to 545, BB calls 515, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls 335.

Flop (1785) J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero checks, BB moves all-in for 1895, UTG+1 calls 1895, hero???

Make it like 800 preflop and bet the flop that way you're pot stuck no matter what happens. As played you can probably call and not feel too bad about it.

ok i understand the preflop raise to 800 but why would i want to get pot commited on the flop by betting out when ill probly only get called or raised by something that beats me and push out hands that i beat

Push all-in. I doubt BB calls a raise and reraise with AJ or KJ in this spot. I'm putting him on something like TT or AK of diamonds. UTG+1 could have anything, just put it in and hope he doesn't have a J.

If you can lead the other player into the pot preflop with the 800 raise, they are committed after the flop regardless and with AA you would rather be committed before the flop. It makes the decision for you after the flop much easier because with AA and pot odds, you have to make a call. Either way I am making a call here because I believe UTG+1 is just trying to be aggressive on the bubble and could theoretically bet with any two cards with a pair flops. He also knows you will fold most any two cards because being 2nd in chips, you have more to gain than lose. A call here should be easy.

this is not the bubble. only 1 player has been knocked out. its a double stacked sng. as i said i agree a 800ish raise would have been better but as played im not getting the pot odds to call if im drawing to 2 outs. i still have 40ish bbs if i fold here so i dont think im commited post flop

it wasnt really the bb i was worried about in this hand as i figured him for 77-1010. its the retards flat call that put me in a tough situation.

just don't minraise preflop to avoid this situation.
on the flop i don't mind going broke since they have draws(like AKs)/lower pps very, very often and you get decent odds.

Its not so tough actually, if BB has flopped trip jacks or fullhouse he wouldn't push this flop obviously, and you arent afraid of utg+1 because of your description of him, but really more preflop, at least lets say 640.
