Thanks everyone! It needed more detail at Casinomeister I thought since so few are poker players there and they are even less likely to use and fully understand PT. There is one guy beyond the shill that doesn't seem to understand. It's probably pointless to try and explain it to them.

[/ QUOTE ]

After he explained that he thought PokerTracker was a cheating program, it was pretty clear that chances were 0 he'd be able to understand our statistical evidence.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah I laughed at the PT comment. For the most part CM posters seem to be casual leisure gamblers and industry observers. There aren't many serious pro poker players there. I don't think most are as bad as the guy in question though.

Anyone not notice OP's name in that thread? LOL coincidences.

[/ QUOTE ]

Also an odd coincidence that the date of the post is right around the time of the new AP update and when we first started noticing all of this stuff.

[/ QUOTE ]

Can you guys do some detective work with the poster's IP? I find it strange that he posted, and then quit his participation in the thread - just took the input and left. Bah, nm. I just read his other posts. I doubt this is anything.

If I was responsible for the fairness of the games, I'd ensure that the working build of the software server wouldn't release the HH-s to any database or memory without being encrypted or whatever necessary, before the hand is over. There shouldn't be ANY access in any way whatsoever to the HH-s before teh damn hand is OVER. By admins, god or even phil hellmuth.

[/ QUOTE ]They are in server memory (as the server needs to know what the hole cards were) and they get sent over the wire to each participant. So if you get to the server or its network you can get the hole cards (it can be made difficult though).

[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not worrying about the connections to the participants as they are encrypted and virtually impossible to crack.

But to this day I naievely thought that kahnawake GC regulations required that not even the poker site staff or anyone for that matter would have access to the whole HH-s in real time (i.e. before the hand is completed).
I don't really know anything about the regulations, but this idea seemed very reasonable to me.
It's obvious that the regulations have to allow access to the whole stuff afterwards (after the hand is over). Otherwise, if the staff never saw the whole hand histories it would make detecting cheaters too much of a PITA. But I don't see any reason for them needing to have it in real time. Or is there? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Is anyone familiar with the KGC regulations and auditing? To be more clear, I'll repeat myself: do the KGC regulations allow a poker site staff to have access to the HH-s in real time or not?
If YES.. well, that's depressing, we would just have to hope that the poker site is honest.
If NOT.. Good. Then I really do hope that KGC is not corrupted : p

lolaments, week ago I thought that online poker is the safest thing on internet. And now my head is filled with the most paranoid conspiracy theories imaginable : D. It's probably good that I suck at poker and don't have to really worry about that like the guys who play for reasonable stakes...

edit: YES/NOT swapped

I'd be shocked if this commission even knew what a hand history was.
