Whats the usual move here? Call or fold? We are both pretty deep so implied odds are there but he potted it and will I even get paid if it rolls off on the turn? Im just lost how to play draws oop lately

Why is there no FE?
I don't mind calling if he bet less, like 300. The turn will be tough, if you don't turn it how do we procede? And if you turn it how do you get paid? He could easily be betting ATC as it was checked thru to him. And won't pay off any other bets. I think I would just fold this. |

I said no FE because I don't think I can bet out or checkraise here and get folds most of the time.

Fold.
Reasons: You are getting 2.3 to 1 on a 4 to 1 shot. You have bad implied odds, since a third diamond can scare him into folding. It's not the nuts FD, you could be running into a higher flush and go broke. You have another player left to act that could be trapping. Maybe you are having a hard time playing draws oop b/c you shouldn't be playing many in the first place. |

You have another player left to act that could be trapping. [/ QUOTE ] In a 4.40 this is more of a reason to call IMO. Calling often induces other callers behind you which effectively gives you the correct odds to draw to your flush. Also, other callers who may also be on a draw (gut-shot straight draw for example) increase your implied odds b/c they can't fold once they hit their draw anyway. Anyhow, it sucks that no one else called. Hope for a free card on the turn or you'll probably have to fold. Sherman |

Call Flop. He's not betting ATC as mention before into 3 players. Call flop and hope to hit on turn and play for value. If you don't turn it or get a free card you will probably have to fold.

I believe this can be played all 3 ways actually and here is my brief arguement for each play
1. Fold, 2.3 to 1 is poor and you're not drawing at even close to the nut draw, you've committed nothign to the hand on the flop, let it go and move on. 2. Call 2.3 is poor, but your stack is pretty deep and you can take a shot for value as this is a $4.40 donkament, you may get paid off nicely if you hit, again because it's a donkament. 3. Raise, you're deep enough to pop it up to 1500 or so, you have FE, and even if he calls you may get a free look at the river if you whiff the turn. |
